Custom Stampede Strings
Stampede strings are a set of long strings that attach to a cowboy hat to prevent the hat from blowing off when on a running horse or when out in the wind. These strings attach where the top of the hat and the brim meet underneath the sweatband with the help of 1-inch zinc plated cotter pins. Stampede strings range from plain but functional to fancy and fashionable depending on the recipient's taste.
Stampede strings by Moon + Mountain require a minimum of 20-25 inches of horse hair to be made. Their final length from cotter pin tip to the end of the tassels can range from 23 inches or longer.
