Packaging & Shipping Requirements

The address to send your horse hair to is:

Moon & Mountain
C/O Rebecca Bezuyen
P.O. Box 216
Iva, SC 29655

YOU WILL NEED TO MAIL THIS OUT VIA THE US POSTAL SERVICE BECAUSE UPS, FEDEX, ETC. CANNOT DELIVER TO A P.O. BOX.

HOW DO I PACK THE HAIR TO SEND IT TO YOU?

Once the hair has been cut and is secured together using a rubber band, put the whole section of hair into a plastic Ziploc baggie that has your name written on the front and seal it closed. PLEASE make sure that your name is written on the baggie to avoid any confusion on my part once the hair is received.

Put the Ziploc baggie into a shipping envelope, NOT A REGULAR LETTER ENVELOPE! Putting the hair into a regular envelope may result in the hair getting removed or lost during transport. Plus, using a shipping envelope gets you a Tracking Number to make sure that your horse’s hair actually gets delivered. If this step is not followed, I am NOT responsible for any hair that is lost or removed from the envelope during shipping.

Please do NOT ship wet horse hair as it will mildew in transit and likely be permanently ruined!

NOTE: I will charge a small fee if the hair arrives in a mess and I have to untangle it to be able to work with it! I do not charge for washing or cleaning the hair, but untangling and organizing it takes a great deal of time and it will extend the time it takes to get your completed piece back to you.

CAN I PUT THE HAIR INTO A REGULAR LETTER ENVELOPE WITH A STAMP?

Please see paragraph two in the answer to the question directly above this.

CAN I SEND MY OWN BEADS, CHARMS, OR A NAME TAG OFF MY HORSE'S BRIDLE?

Can I send my own beads, charms, or a name tag?

If you have any additional items you wish to send with the hair, such as a specific charm you would like used, a name-tag from a bridle, certain beads you’d like included, etc., please put these into the envelope as well in their own Ziploc baggie.

No, you do not need to wash the horse hair before you send it to me. I will clean, disinfect, and whiten (if applicable) for no additional cost. I ask that you avoid braiding the hair if possible, but if it is already braided don't worry - I can still work with it.

NOTE: The hair does not have to be washed, but it DOES have to be secured and packaged according to my specifications here. If the hair arrives in a tangled mess, I will charge a fee to untangle it.
